Paraná confirms first case of monkeypox

The Secretary of Health of Paraná confirmed this Sunday (3) the first case of monkeypox in the state. He is a 31-year-old man, resident of Curitiba, with a history of traveling to São Paulo between the 16th and 18th of June.

According to the state government, two other suspected cases of the disease, in Londrina and Cascavel, are still under investigation.

Monkeypox cases tripled in Europe in last two weeks, says WHO
