Paris, all in one night: the clip of the new film with Valeria Bruni Tedeschi in preview

When, on 1 December 2018, she fainted finding herself alone in the emergency room of the Lariboisière Hospital, Catherine Corsini immediately understood that this would be the location of her next film, Paris all in one night candidate for 6 Cèsar Awards and in cinema from 10 March. After La Belle Saison And An impossible amour, both set in times distant from ours, Corsini was interested in addressing stringent current events in a non-didactic wayresorting, in fact, to the expedient of the hospital as a frame to host the conversation of a couple about the scream of the breakup.

They are Raf and Julie, ininterpreted respectively by Valeria Bruni Tedeschi and Marina Foïs, very good at lending faces to two women who spend a night in a crowded emergency room a few hours after an important protest demonstration of the yellow vests in Paris. The meeting with Yann (Pio Marmaï), a wounded and angry protester, will shatter their certainties and their prejudices, allowing Raf and Julie to get out of their bubble and realize how much, outside a relationship, the problems of the world are others.

Paris, all in one night is the chronicle of that awareness, of that breaking point that allows current affairs and social denunciation to peek out both in the lives of the protagonists and in the work of Catherine Corsinwho, before making the film, spent a night following and studying the way the hospital is run, observing the exhausted and overworked staff and the patients gathered in the waiting room upset, in shock, or simply in need of someone to listen to them. Paris, all in one night it is the fruit of that effort.
