Slogans of solidarity to Iranians protesters who continue their struggle to defend human rights in their homeland, were projected onto the Eiffel Tower in Paris yesterday Monday (16/1).
Four months after the death of 22-year-old Mahsha Amini after she was arrested by Tehran’s morality police for violating the strict dress code imposed on women in the Islamic Republic, at its iconic tower french slogans such as “Woman, Life, Freedom” and “Stop the executions in Iran”one of the main demands of the protesters.
Last week, the chargé d’affaires of the Iranian embassy in Paris was summoned to the French foreign ministry to explain the execution of British-Iranian Alireza Akbari, who was found guilty of espionage.
The French government is denouncing the “arbitrary” detention of at least seven Frenchmen in Iran on espionage charges, while a protest rally is being organized in Paris on January 28.
