Last Thursday (9), a couple was the target of homophobic offenses on Line 3-Red of the São Paulo Metro. The moment was recorded by another passenger, Breno Conde, who was in the wagon and the video ended up going viral on social media.
In the recording, it is possible to hear a lady telling the couple that if she could “I would kill them both”. Other passengers on the train came to their defense. One of the couple’s men responds by saying, “You’re crazy.”
Passengers who witnessed the situation also took a stand and asked you to stop being prejudiced.
“God doesn’t teach that in the Bible, no,” she replies after being called crazy. Shortly after this speech, the train door opens and a man calls a security agent to help with the situation. As soon as the aggressor is removed from the scene, the passengers in the car celebrate.

In a note, the São Paulo Metro said that security agents were called around 12:30 pm by the discriminated couple. “According to statements by both, they felt offended by statements made by another passenger who was inside the same train”.
All those involved were invited to disembark and were then heard and led to clarify the facts with the Police Authority.
Still according to Metrô, arriving at the police station, the couple did not want to record the fact.
