Passengers at Paddington Station in London are looking for alternatives among Heathrow airport flight cancellations. Some said they were left in the dark by the airlines.
“I called Delta, and all lines are busy, so they don’t answer,” 75 -year -old Reuters John Moriarty, who was supposed to fly home in Boston.
He added: “I just called the American Express Travel to see if they can help. I’m waiting. All lines are busy, so maybe I’m here the other day, actually. It’s not the worst thing in the world. It’s my favorite city, but I need to be home.”
Mahmoud Ali, a pizzeria Domino’s employee who lives in London, was going to Pakistan to see his wife and children.
“My wife and children are there (in Pakistan). Now they are waiting for me. But the flight is (canceled). I don’t understand what time the flight (goes) out,” he said.
Tyler Prieb, 36, whose flight to Nashville was canceled, said: “I’ll only take an extra day to go back to my wife and my daughter, and they are probably wishing me to be home. But I think I’ll enjoy the day, maybe I do something, will explore somewhere I don’t know. I will try to make the most of it.”

Vincent was on his way to Canada for his daughter’s 16th birthday on Saturday (22). His plane was diverted to Gatwick airport south of London while he was still in the air, and he was out of light.
“My daughter will be 16 years old tomorrow, I can’t go now,” he told CNN .
Remembering the confusion, he said, “We almost arrived in London right. They said we couldn’t land. They didn’t tell us what happened.”
“I have no hotel to stay, there are no flights today,” he added.
Allen, 60, was also on a flight from Nigeria when she was diverted to Gatwick.
He was trying to return home in Hamburg, and expected to make a connection for Heathrow. Now he finds himself struggling to get home.
He said, “I’m frustrated and exhausted since 4 am, I was on board when this news arrived, we landed here and, unfortunately, no good information.”
Speaking of the reaction aboard the flight, he added: “We were frustrated because, according to the captain’s information, he said he could not give us more information about what to do.”
With three bags and no breakfast, Nnadi waited, without much clarity about his next step.
