The Irish actor Paul Mescal 28, clarified rumors that he would be responsible for playing Paul McCartney in the Beatles biopic. He spoke about the subject for the cover story of GQ.
“I would love to be involved [no filme]but there is nothing defined”, he declared.
In February, the international press reported that four films about the members of the Beatles were in development by the award-winning British director Sam Mendes (“American Beauty” and “1917”). The productions are scheduled to debut in 2027.
Mescal, who was nominated for an Oscar for his role in “Aftersun“ is about to premiere its biggest production: “Gladiator 2“ which hits Brazilian cinemas in less than a month, on November 14th.
The Irishman’s upcoming projects include Richard Linklater’s new film, “Merrily We Roll Along” ; “Hamnet” from Chloe Zao ; and “The History of Sound” alongside Josh O’Connor.
