The Federal Police (PF) arrested a man at Guarulhos International Airport, in São Paulo, for sexually harassing a passenger who was sleeping in the seat next to him during a flight from Doha, Qatar. The 46-year-old prisoner is from Bangladesh and was taken to the PF Police Station at the airport and detained after hearing witnesses.
The PF was called by employees of the airline, due to the complaint that the passenger, during the flight, had sexually harassed a 23-year-old Brazilian woman while she was sleeping.
The victim told police officers that “when she woke up and came across the situation, she yelled at the man and was helped by the crew, who relocated her to another seat.”
The woman also told investigators that, before the sexual harassment took place, “she had already alerted a person next to her about the inconvenient attitude of the accused by moving around in the seat he occupied, bumping into his body several times”.
