PF opens investigation to determine if there was interference in the operation that arrested Milton Ribeiro

The Federal Police said that it opened an investigation to determine whether there was interference in the carrying out of the Acesso Paid operation, which arrested the former Minister of Education, Milton Ribeiro, on Wednesday (22). The Federal Police (PF) operation investigated the practice of influence peddling and corruption for the release of public funds from the MEC.

“Considering rumors of possible interference in the execution of Operation Acesso Pago and aiming to guarantee the autonomy and functional independence of the Federal Police Chief, as guaranteed by Law No.
investigative procedure to verify the possible occurrence of interference, seeking full clarification of the facts”, says the PF statement.

In addition to Ribeiro, in addition to Milton Ribeiro, pastors Gilmar Santos and Arilton Moura, lawyer and former advisor to the MEC Luciano de Freitas Musse and former advisor to the Municipality of Goiânia Helder Bartolomeu were arrested.
