São Paulo lives a boom of new gastronomic addresses after two catastrophic years in the sector due to the pandemic.

Not for nothing, the CNN Travel & Gastronomy recently listed 17 restaurants that were open between March and July of this year – and that are worth visiting.

The novelty is now Piccini Bar younger brother of the already consecrated Piccini Cucina .

If the eldest, opened a year ago on the chic Vitório Fasano street, in Jardins, didn’t even need a week to have a queue and since then it’s been full of diners looking for its pasta and its airy environment that reminds of an Italian village, the proposal here is completely different.

The neighborhood chosen to open the Piccini Bar it was the Itaim , on Renato Paes de Barros street. The house, run by businessmen Samuel Rodrigues and Gustavo Cardoso Patti – both also members of Piccini Cucina -, it is a point for those who want to have good drinks, enjoy good cuisine and enjoy lively music in a dimly lit environment with a velvet sofa. That is, cozy atmosphere and great for going as a couple.

“When we thought of Piccini Bar, we wanted it to be a kind of after-party for the restaurant. Many of our restaurant customers wanted to enjoy the night drinking drinks, snacking. It was then that we realized an opportunity: to unite our expertise in gastronomy and offer the public a sophisticated place to extend the night”, explain the partners.

The red walls give the dramatic tone that match the velvet sofa that surrounds the small mirrored lounge.

Right at the entrance, the beautiful bar shows what it came for: classic and authorial drinks that come from the hands of the bartender Jonas Correia .

There are seven new options on the menu such as allow yourself, with gin, blueberry, lemon, sugar and tonic water (R$ 42); the short film with lillet, passion fruit, lemon, sugar and egg white (R$40); summer – cashew, pisco, fine sherry, lemon and sugar (R$ 42); and the Negroni Magusa – gin, red vermouth and campari aged in American oak barrels R$54.

The wine list also deserves attention, prepared by the sommelier Wagner Eliad .

Between one cocktail and another, the menu makes it clear that in a bar it is entirely possible to eat well.

It’s worth pairing the drinks with some snacks like the Tartine di Tonno – tuna seasoned with citrus sauce, mustard emulsion and mujon eggs (R$96); the Ceviche di Salmone – diced salmon marinated in citrus sauce, star fruit, cherry tomatoes, red onion and green pepper (R$ 68) or the Crocchette di Parma – parma ham, spinach and brie cheese (R$ 58).

Customers also enjoy the individual pizzas for snacking, such as carbonara, house-made pomodoro sauce, buffalo mozzarella cheese, bacon, egg yolks, black pepper and parmesan (R$ 79), piccini with truffle salsa, mozzarella cheese of buffalo, gorgonzola, zucchini, mushrooms and parmesan (R$ 85), among others.

For those who want more robust dishes, it is worth trying one of the five options such as the cod lasagna (R$95), the filet paillard with tagliolini with alfredo sauce (R$110) or the beautiful spaghetti carbonara (R$79).

Also, from Tuesday to Friday, the house opens for executive lunch with options that vary daily and cost R$59. With a glass of wine, R$79.
