The São Paulo Fire Department reported this Saturday (10) that 50 bodies were removed from the land in Vinhedo in the interior of the state, where a Voepass plane crashed on Friday (9).
Of the bodies recovered, 37 are at the Legal Medical Institute (IML) in São Paulo. Two victims have been identified.
In total, 62 people were on the aircraft. Rescue teams are still searching for 12 bodies at the site.
The plane crashed into a field, onto cars, next to a house.
The accident occurred on Friday (9). Voepass flight 2283 left Cascavel, in Paraná, and was bound for Guarulhos Airport, in São Paulo.
The ATR 72-500, registration PS-VPB, crashed while spinning over Vinhedo, as shown on images on social media, falling onto land next to homes.
The tragedy left 62 dead, all of whom were inside the aircraft. Among the fatal victims were 58 passengers and four crew members.
The accident that occurred in Vinhedo is the sixth most lethal in the history of Brazil.
