Plastic is invading our planet more and more: half of all plastic produced in the world has been made in the last 15 years alone and production has increased exponentially from 2.3 million tons in 1950 to 448 million tons in 2015. A figure that is expected to double by 2050. Furthermore, plastics often contain additives that make them stronger, more flexible and durable. . However, many of these substances can extend the life of products when they are thrown away. Some are estimated to last at least 400 years before degrading. In light of these data, it is important to make changes in our daily lives, because joint action can really make a difference!
