The Civil Police of São Paulo carried out an operation, this Monday morning (16), against a criminal organization that operated in Grajaú, in the south zone of the capital.
The targets participated in a WhatsApp group, with more than 300 members, where they informed about police patrols in the region, so that criminals could escape through these “tips”.
Of the 31 arrest warrants issued, 16 were carried out, as 15 suspects could not be located. Another 40 search and seizure warrants were also executed. The police seized cell phones, computers and chips, which may have evidence of the crimes committed.
To carry out this monitoring, they positioned themselves at strategic points in the region. That way, they managed to disrupt the police rounds.
“They have been investigated since February. We, the police, even joined this group, without identifying ourselves. What they said about police work was quite offensive,” said police chief Ivalda Aleixo, director of the DHPP and in charge of the operation.
Most of the prisoners had worked with the police and were part of the First Command of the Capital (PCC) criminal faction.
Those involved must answer for various crimes, including drug trafficking, theft, and corruption of minors. The investigation continues in order to locate the suspects who were not found this morning.
