PKO Bank Polski organized an event in the virtual world for beginners and professionals who are ready to learn about the bank’s activities and apply for a specific vacancy. This is the first event of its kind in Poland and one of the first in the world.

The most active participants were able to get an opportunity to sign up for a personal interview with PKO recruiters. On the eve of the event, the representative of the bank, Katarzyna Motelska, explained that the company is constantly looking for new forms of contact with candidates. And previous experiences in the world of the metaverse “have been very positive.”

PKO wants to expand its presence in decentralized metaverses like Decentraland and The Sandbox. The bank aims to build VR models of its branches in order to expand the possibility of operations in the virtual world.

PKO Bank Polski is the leader in mobile banking in Poland, serving almost 12 million customers, including through the IKO mobile application, which has been activated 7.4 million times.

Many banks are actively exploring the possibilities of the metaverse. Investment company Fidelity Investments and HSBC Bank filed applications with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) at the end of 2022 for trademark registration related to NFT, metaverses and Web3.

Japan’s largest bank, MUFG, which manages $3.3 trillion in assets, opened a metaverse division last year to reach a younger audience and introduce them to the bank’s work.
