Pope Francis pretended to box with the actor and star of the “Rocky” film franchise, Sylvester Stallone, this Friday (8), during a meeting at the Vatican.
Introduced to Stallone and his family, the pope emphasized how much he liked the actor’s films, which led the actor to clench his fists as if he were ready to fight, saying: “Ready, let’s fight.”
Francisco, 86, who walked with the help of a cane, punched the air with his left fist in response, generating applause from the actor.
Stallone, 77 years old and of Italian origin, gained fame with the series of films about the life of fictional fighter Rocky Balboa.
