The fans of the “Pose” series welcomed the fact that was left out of the Emmy Awards. MJ Rodriguez and Billy Porter, who play Blanca Evangelista and Pray Tell respectively in the FX series, were nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role and Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. However, they both lost to Olivia Coleman and Josh O’Connor «The Crown».
The fact that Rodriguez was left out of the awards was a big upset and caused a great deal of discussion on Twitter. It was her first nomination for “Pose” after three seasons and wrote history as the first transsexual actress who was nominated for an Award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Emmy.
“Coleman is great on ‘The Crown,’ but you just feel like it was MJ Rodriguez’s moment,” a fan of the actress wrote on Twitter. “MJ deserved a victory,” he said.
I’m celebrating Michaela Jaé (Mj) Rodriguez tonight whose historic #Emmys nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series #PoseFX deserved to win. Thank you for bringing all of you to Blanca Evangelista & expanding the representation of possibility to so many of us. pic.twitter.com/PIxtNqNdBU

“I’m so upset that the #PoseFX team is leaving without an award so far tonight. “MJ Rodriguez and Billy Porter deserved the victories and while ‘The Crown’ I have no idea why it is sweeping tonight,” wrote another fan of the series.
Well, @PoseOnFX didn’t take home any Emmys last night but that doesn’t change how proud I am of our final season. Here’s what I would have said had I made it up on that stage. All of this will always hold true. 🏳️🌈✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿🏳️⚧️ #PoseFX pic.twitter.com/NxsGKfv8ol

“I’m really sorry that MJ Rodriguez did not win specifically because she put all her heart into Pose, she was Pose’s heart, but she is writing history as the first trans woman to be nominated for an Emmy in the starring category and she is my winner,” another comment reads. .
The Crown deserves all these Emmys but still sad that #PoseFX didnt win anything 😔
