Singer Preta Gil, 49, had to use a probe in her nose again after suffering an intestinal obstruction. She is hospitalized at Hospital Sírio Libanês, in São Paulo, after going through a surgery to remove the tumor in your bowel .
On her Instagram, Preta published a video in which she already appears with the nasal device installed. “Good morning, you saw that the probe came back, right? Yeah, I’ll make a video later explaining. But when I talk about rehabilitation, it’s about this, about the body, organism, getting used to the new, ”she began.
“As we have the ileostomy bag, the traffic was all diverted. It turns out that I had an intestinal obstruction, which felt like constipation. The feces did not go into the bag, they accumulated, and that made me feel sick, vomit”, added the artist.
Next, Gilberto Gil’s daughter revealed that she was about to undergo a CT scan and that later she would give more details about her health condition.
“To better drain the stomach, the liquid, returned the nasogastric tube. And that’s it, I’m going to do a CT scan, and I’ll be right back. I think I explained it right, let’s go, one day at a time ”, he concluded.

Intestinal obstruction: know the causes and risks
A bowel obstruction it is characterized as the interruption of the normal functioning of the intestine due to a blockage that prevents the passage of feces and gases through the organ. The causes are diverse, including tumors, inflammation, worms and effects of surgery. Among the symptoms are swelling and abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting, difficulty and pain to evacuate.

“When you have surgery, you remove a piece of the intestine, put one piece together with the other, it is an aggressive procedure. One loop of intestine can join the other, which can cause the organ to not be able to contract normally, leading to obstruction “, he explains.
Other conditions that can lead to intestinal obstruction are inflammatory diseases such as diverticulitis and Crohn’s disease, parasitic diseases such as worms, as well as hernias and paralysis of bowel movements.

The artist was diagnosed with colorectal cancer in January this year. In March, the singer suffered septicemia, the result of an infection by the chemotherapy catheter, in which she underwent four hours of loss of consciousness, resuscitation and 20 days in the ICU.
On August 13th, the artist was admitted to the Sírio-Libanês Hospital, where she underwent a series of preoperative exams for the surgical procedure performed on Thursday (16th).
On Sunday (20), the singer spoke for the first time after the surgery – which lasted 14 hours – and which required a total abdominal hysterectomy, removal of the uterus.
“Hi, my loves. I’m here recovering from an extensive and complex surgery that lasted more than 14 hours, in which the tumor was removed, as well as a total abdominal hysterectomy. I am being well cared for by the doctors. Special thanks to the entire warrior team. Now it’s one day at a time!!! Today I managed to sit down and I’m still here fighting. God, everything is right,” she wrote on Instagram.
On Tuesday (22), the singer said that the removal of the tumor was a success and that her body is completely free of cancer cells.
Despite the total removal of the tumor, Gilberto Gil’s daughter revealed that she still needs to undergo other processes before definitively curing the disease.
“The surgery was a success, we had a total removal of the tumor with a margin, and that means that: at the moment, my body is free of these cells [cancerígenas]. But, the cure, the process, still involves rehabilitation that I have to do for the functioning of my sphincter, for example ”, said the singer, who will need to use a provisional colostomy bag for the next three months.
