Preta Gil, who remains hospitalized to recover from her last surgery, received a visit from her father, Gilberto Gil, in the hospital, as published by the singer last Monday (4).
“Today my daddy came to see me!!! I love you dad @gilbertogil”, wrote the singer on her Instagram account, alongside a photo of the two.
In the following stories, she stated: “I’m still making progress here!!”.
Last Thursday (1), Preta Gil underwent surgery to reconstruct the intestinal tract and remove the ileostomy bag, part of the artist’s treatment against bowel cancer.
In the last three months, the artist started using the ileostomy bag to eliminate feces. On several occasions, she made a point of showing it off publicly to raise awareness among her audience.
“I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to use it while my body healed.
At first it was very difficult, but when I understood that she had saved my life, I changed my relationship with her, and yes, we became best friends, and I named her Angel”, she wrote in a post.
