The Federal Highway Police seized, on Thursday afternoon (6), 1,632 kg of marijuana in a fake school bus. The seizure occurred during the inspection of BR-158, in the city of Paranaíba (MS).
Police officers approached the bus after observing that it was without school identification. The vehicle was occupied only by the driver.
When the agents requested the van and driver’s documents, the suspect said he did not have either of them.
He also informed that he was hired to drive the vehicle to the city of Aparecida do Taboado, also in Mato Grosso do Sul.
The agents searched the vehicle and found a hidden compartment in the floor, which contained several marijuana tablets.
Another detail that caught attention is that the bus used false license plates and school identification.
The incident was forwarded to the Civil Police and remains under investigation.
