“Prince William preferred to… cook instead of going to the funeral of former King Constantine” comments RTL

While many high-ranking royals from Europe gathered in Athens on Monday (16/01) for the funeral of the former King Constantine, one very special guest was conspicuous by his absence, and it is none other than Prince William.

The German television network RTL reported on the absence of William and his father, King Charles III from the funeral, as he points out in an article that the heir to the British throne preferred to wear a cooking apron rather than attend his godfather’s funeral.

“Why did Prince William skip the funeral of his godfather Constantine?” asks the German network “RTL”, showing the eldest son of King Charlesto participate in a cooking class in the Berkshires.

“It’s his godfather late monarch! Now he has appeared to cook not far from where he lives in the UK,” the publication emphasizes. “THE prince william could not be absent from the charity’s 25th anniversary, which offers young people jobs and hot meals after they leave school,” the newspaper writes on its part, “Daily Mail».

In other videos, his brother “guerrilla of British palaces”, Harry is pictured chatting with staff and volunteers at the foundation. However, those nostalgic for the Crown expressed their disappointment that the godfather of the last king of Greece did not travel to Athens to attend the funeral of his godfather, comments the cGerman publication. “Constantine II and his wife lived in London for years after being forced into exile in Greece in 1974 following the abolition of the monarchy. They were allowed to return to their homeland only in 2013,” he continues.

The British Royal family was represented by Charles’ sister Princess Anne and her husband Sir Timothy Laurence, the report concluded.
