One person died and three others were injured after the collapse of a house, on Wednesday night (17), in Morro do Salgueiro, in the north of Rio de Janeiro.
The man who died at the scene was buried under the rubble. The Fire Department was called around 8 pm.
Of the three rescued victims, two adult women and one child, two were referred to the Salgado Filho Municipal Hospital, in Méier, in the north, and one was referred to the Souza Aguiar Municipal Hospital, in the central region.
With the support of drones, the soldiers from the barracks of Tijuca, Vila Isabel, the Search and Rescue Group (GBS), the 1st and 2nd Forest Relief and Environment Groups (1st and 2nd GSFMAs) worked in the rescue.
The corporation’s search dogs are currently sweeping the site to ensure there are no more casualties.
Civil Defense technicians are on site, sweeping the area and following the work of the firefighters. No neighboring property had a damaged structure or is at imminent risk of collapse.
