The Military Justice Prosecutor’s Office denounced this Tuesday (27) seven people involved in cocaine trafficking operations on Brazilian air force (FAB), with two sergeants and one ex-sergeant, all from the Air Force, and four civilians.
They are suspected of international drug trafficking, association with international trafficking and money laundering.
The investigations showed the materiality and authorship of the accused, who acted with their own conscience and joined in the practice of national and international drug trafficking using FAB planes and teams.
According to the complaint, some of those involved participated, in 2019, in an operation to send cocaine to Spain.
The drug arrived in the country during an official mission with the help of one of the denounced sergeants. At the time, Manoel Silva Rodrigues was arrested in the act, at the airport in Seville, Spain, with possession of 37 kilos of cocaine.
He was part of the entourage of 21 military personnel that accompanied President Jair Bolsonaro’s trip to Tokyo, Japan, where the Chief Executive would attend the G-20 meeting.
The soldier was convicted in Spain and Brazil, and in Brazil for the crime of transnational illicit trafficking in narcotics.
In addition to former sergeant Manoel Silva Rodrigues, sergeants Jorge Luiz da Cruz Silva and Marcio Gonçalves de Almeida and civilians Wilkelane Nonato Rodrigues, Marcos Daniel Penna Gama, Márcio Moufarrege and Michele Tocci were denounced.
