Russian President Vladimir Putin has claimed that a full-scale war is being waged against Russia in the field of information, as reported by the Russian news agency Ria Novosti.
“The number of cyber attacks on Russia’s intelligence infrastructure has been steadily increasing in recent years. In recent years, with the launch of a special military operation in Donbass, Ukraine, the challenges in this area have become even more intense and serious. “In fact, a real attack has been launched against Russia, an information war,” Putin said at a Security Council meeting.
He added that, first of all, the number of cyber attacks has increased significantly.
“As experts point out, hackers individually can certainly not do that. The attacks are launched by different states and are clearly coordinated. In fact, these are actions of government agencies,” said the Russian president.
Putin also claimed that the armies of some countries already include official troops in cyberspace.
