PwC Hong Kong acquires virtual land in the Sandbox project

PwC Hong Kong, a subsidiary of the global auditing firm PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), has acquired a virtual land parcel in The Sandbox metaverse project.

The location of the site and the amount of the transaction were not disclosed. However, according to the trading platform OpenSea, the average piece of land in The Sandbox metaverse project is worth between $ 10,000 and $ 15,000.

On the virtual parcel of land, PwC HK plans to build a Web 3.0 Consulting Center to provide professional consulting services, including accounting and tax audits.

William Gee, a partner at PwC in Hong Kong, said the organization would seek to “leverage expertise to advise clients” of the metaverse, calling emerging technologies a “digital phenomenon”.

“The Metaverse is open to business. We welcome PwC to Hong Kong to learn how Sandbox is providing new opportunities and ways for brands to interact with customers, ”said Sebastien Borget, COO of Sandbox.

Note that global brands such as Nike are shaping a promising market strategy around the metauniverses and consider them an inevitable step towards the evolutionary development of companies.
