A python snake, from the Pythonidae family of reptiles, was found inside a bag, along with a ticket and a bottle of cachaça in front of the Zoobotanical Park of Marabá, in Pará. The information was shared on a social network.
Veterinarian Pedro Calazans, who posted the video on Instagram, said the note contained the message “take good care of her”.
“People do this to get rid of the problem and they don’t give a damn. It’s like that with dogs, with wild animals,” he said in the publication.
THE CNN contacted Parque de Marabá to find out the fate of the animal, but has not yet received a response.
The animal, which can be found in Asia and Africa, is not part of the Brazilian biome. The python found in Pará had burn marks on several parts of its body.
Snakes in this family do not have venom-injecting teeth, but their sharp, curved fangs can hook prey.
