Qualcomm will reportedly release its flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC later this year, according to verified insider Digital Chat Station.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen2 has model number SM8550 while Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 has model number SM8450. The new single-chip system will be produced by the Taiwanese TSMC plant.
According to available information, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will continue to use the “1 + 3 + 4” three-cluster architecture. The central processor consists of a super-core, three productive and four energy-efficient cores. ARM Cortex X can act as a supercore.

In addition, Qualcomm previously announced a next-generation 5G modem called Snapdragon X70, which will be integrated into the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The Snapdragon X70 is said to support 10Gbps peak download speeds on 5G networks and will also provide new advanced features.
Obviously, this will be the highest performing Qualcomm Snapdragon single-chip system, which will be used in Samsung, Oppo, Xiaomi, Vivo, iQOO, Redmi Realme, OnePlus and other brands phones next year.
