Takeoff, who was one of three members of the rap group Migos, was shot and killed on Tuesday (1) in Houston, Texas, United States, a source close to the group said. CNN .

Houston Police said they attended to a shooting in downtown Houston at a bowling alley and billiards hall around 2:30 am local time. One person was found dead, according to the police department.
Two other victims were taken in private vehicles to hospitals, police said.
According to authorities, police were told that a private party had been held at the scene prior to the shooting. An investigation is underway.
Born in Lawrenceville, Georgia, Takeoff began performing with his uncle and fellow rapper Quavo and Offset as Migos in 2008. The trio found fame with their 2013 single, “Versace.”
His success only increased in 2016 with the release of his hit “Bad and Boujee”, which featured artist Lil Uzi Vert.
The single quickly became an internet sensation, spawning a plethora of memes reproducing its lyrics.
The song gained even greater momentum after “Atlanta” creator and star Donald Glover released the single during an acceptance speech at the 2017 Golden Globes.
“I really want to thank the Migos, not for being on the show, but for making ‘Bad and Boujee,'” Glover said at the time. “[É] Like this is the greatest song of all time.”
Takeoff and Quavo recently formed the duo “Unc & Phew” and released their debut album “Only Built for Infinity Links” on October 7.
The music video for the song “Messy” was released on Monday (31).
During a recent chat on the “Drink Champs” podcast just days before his death, Takeoff accepted praise for his stellar performance on the new project.
“It’s time to pop, you know what I mean? It’s time to give me my flowers, you know what I mean?” said Takeoff. “I don’t want them later when I’m not here.”
