“Red Notice” Becomes Most-Watched Movie in Netflix History

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has reason to end his 2021 with a toast.

His latest film, “Red Notice”, is now the most-watched movie in Netflix history, according to the streaming giant.

The film generated 328.8 million viewing hours, reported Netflix, surpassing the previous record for Sandra Bullock’s “Bird Box” in 2018, with 282 million viewing hours.

Currently, 50% of all Netflix subscribers worldwide have seen “Red Notice”.

The film broke the previous record in just 18 days, unlike “Bird Box”, which took four weeks to reach the mark.

The film, starring Johnson, Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot, was produced by Johnson’s Seven Bucks Productions and premiered on the streaming site earlier this month.

“Red Notice” still remains in the “Top 10” of the platform in 94 countries, according to Netflix.

The feature film tells the story of an FBI agent played by Johnson, who had to partner with the world’s biggest art thief [Reynolds] in a daring assault to catch the most wanted criminal, played by Gadot.
