This Wednesday (7) the reduction in the prices of gasoline and diesel sold by Petrobras to distributors begins to take effect. Gasoline goes from R$ 3.28 to R$ 3.08 per liter, down 6.1%. Diesel will go from R$ 4.89 to R$ 4.49 per liter, or 8.2% less.
Gasoline prices had not been readjusted since September 2, when the state-owned company announced a reduction of 7.08%. The last drop in the price of diesel, in turn, occurred on September 20, with a reduction of R$ 0.30.
According to the company, “these reductions accompany the evolution of reference prices and are consistent with Petrobras’ pricing practice, which seeks to balance its prices with the market, but without passing on to domestic prices the conjunctural volatility of quotations and of the exchange rate”.
Considering the mandatory blend of 73% A gasoline and 27% anhydrous ethanol for the composition of gasoline sold at service stations, Petrobras’ share in the consumer price will be, on average, R$ 2.25 for each liter sold at the pump, informed the state.
Still considering the mandatory blend of 90% diesel A and 10% biodiesel for the composition of diesel sold at service stations, Petrobras’ share in the consumer price will be, on average, R$ 4.04 for each liter sold at the pump.
According to a survey by the ANP (National Agency for Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels), between November 27th and December 3rd, consumers paid an average of R$ 5.03 per liter of gasoline and R$ 6.55 per liter of diesel .
It was the second week in a row of almost stability for gasoline, after six increases, which took fuel again to the level above R$ 5.
