Revenge porn: Tiziana Cantone, the body will be exhumed

Tiziana Cantone’s body will be exhumed. This was established by the Public Prosecutor’s Office of North Naples, opening a murder file, currently against unknowns.

The 31-year-old’s death, whose private images of intimate relationships ended up – without her consent – on several porn sites, was classified as a suicide. The woman she was found hanged in the house where she lived with her mother and grandmother, in Mugnano, near Naples, on 13 September 2016, about a year after the affair in which she was involved.

The magistrate who dealt with the case did not consider an autopsy necessary.

But Tiziana’s mother, Maria Teresa Giglio, from the beginning, never believed in the hypothesis of suicide: she always suspected that her daughter had been killed, and she turned to a lawyer who specialized in defensive investigations. On the scarf that had been found around Tiziana’s neck they were two male DNAs found. In addition, the woman’s smartphone was turned on, unlocked and used for over an hour, after the kidnapping following the discovery of the body, as the IT experts of theEmme Team. The access would have occurred while the phone was being seized, and a second one would have been recorded three days after the woman’s death. Both the mobile phone and the tablet would have been tampered with, with cancellation of data, while they were in judicial custody.

Based on the elements gathered, Maria Teresa Giglio’s lawyers presented two exposed in the Prosecutor’s Office: one for procedural fraud, for alleged tampering with Tiziana’s tablet and smartphone, and the other for murder, precisely because some inconsistencies would have emerged on the scene of the tragedy. Starting from this last statement, the prosecutor Giovanni Corona opened the case for murder. The magistrate consulted with an anatomopathologist to make sure that, even after years of death, the autopsy could still provide useful information to assess the two hypotheses advanced by Maria Teresa Giglio’s lawyers, so he asked for the body to be exhumed. of the woman.
