Seven people were shot during an attack of criminals on Tuesday morning (4), close to the access of the community known as Curral Fake, in the Santa Cruz neighborhood, in the West Zone of Rio de Janeiro.
According to some witnesses, the victims were close to a Rio BRT station, when armed criminals spent shooting.
The Military Police were called. The attack of the bandits would have happened because of a fight between rival factions that dominate the communities of the region.
The bandits’ target would be a man who was at the scene and worked for the militia. He managed to run and the criminals went back shooting.
Also according to the PM, four people were sent to the Pedro II Municipal Hospital and two others rescued to the UPA (Emergency Care Unit) of Cesarão, both in Santa Cruz.
The case is being investigated by the 36th DP (Santa Cruz). The Military Police reported that policing is still reinforced in the region.
