According to Russian sources, citing Roskomnadzor, about 20 popular VPN services have already been blocked in Russia, while Roskomnadzor intends to continue this work. The information was confirmed by Alexander Khinshtein, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy.
The list of VPN services that fell under the sanctions of Roskomnadzor included Hola! VPN, ExpressVPN, KeepSolid VPN Unlimited, Nord VPN, Speedify VPN and IPVanish VPN. At the same time, Roskomnadzor noted that companies using VPN services to ensure the operation of technological processes will be able to continue working with them. Once reviewed, the regulator may approve this for organizations and businesses, but regular users will not be able to use these VPN services.

In accordance with the requirements of the response regulation, we inform you about the planned introduction of centralized management in relation to means of circumventing the restriction of information prohibited by law. A request was sent to the departments with a request to inform the Monitoring Center for Public Communications Network Management (CCMS) about the use of VPN services (Hola!VPN, ExpressVPN, KeepSolid VPN Unlimited, Nord VPN, Speedify VPN, IPVanish VPN) to ensure the operation of technological processes of enterprises and organizations . Information can be sent to the email address [email protected] and must include the name of the organization and contact information.
