Russia and Ukraine may hold new meeting this week, official says

New negotiations between Russia and the Ukraine could take place this week, according to Mykhailo Podoliak, a senior adviser to the Ukrainian president. Volodymyr Zelensky.

“Once mutual contralegal formats are worked out, a meeting will be scheduled – the fourth round of negotiations. It could be tomorrow, the day after tomorrow,” Podoliak told Belta, the state news agency in Belarusthis Sunday (13).

“There are several proposals on the negotiating table now, there are a lot of them, there are a dozen proposals, including about a political agreement and, more importantly, about a military agreement. I mean a ceasefire, a formula for a ceasefire and the withdrawal of troops,” he said.

“It’s probably not necessary to go further and just talk. We discussed all the issues, now we’re trying to package these issues into some legal formats,” Podoliak said.

On Saturday (12), Podoliak posted an update on the conversations on Twitter.

“Negotiations with the RF delegation [Federação Russa] are now underway in continuous video format. Special working subgroups were created,” he wrote. “Ukraine’s positions are determined by previous guidelines.”
