A Russian Boeing 737 aircraft declared an emergency today while en route from the Arctic port of Murmansk to Moscow, Reuters reported, citing Russia’s Tass news agency as citing a civil aviation img.
The plane, flying at an altitude of more than 10,000 meters (33,000 feet), raised the alarm while over the Vologda region. Murmansk is about 1,500 kilometers north of Moscow.
Tass did not provide further details or indicate which airline the aircraft belonged to. S7, Russia’s largest private airline and the country’s second largest carrier, operates flights between these two cities.
It landed safely at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo airport a short time later, the Tass news agency reported, citing a img in the civil aviation service.
