‘Russia Waging Incredibly Risky Sabotage Campaign’ in Europe, MI6 Chief Claims

Russia is waging “an incredibly risky campaign of sabotage in Europe”, the head of Britain’s foreign intelligence agency (MI6) Richard Moore warned today in a speech at the British embassy in Paris. “We have recently uncovered an incredibly risky Russian sabotage campaign in Europe, at the same time that Putin and his followers are using the nuclear threat to sow fear” among supporters of Ukraine, Moore said. If Putin succeeds in turning Ukraine into a vassal state, he will not stop there, he warned. “Our security – of Britain, France, Europe and the transatlantic – will be at risk,” he stressed. Moore said the cost of supporting Ukraine is known, but added: “The cost of not supporting Ukraine would be infinitely greater.
