Today, Thursday 24/10, Russia’s parliamentarians voted unanimously to ratify the “comprehensive strategic partnership treaty” with North Korea. The vote in the Duma, the lower house of the Russian parliament, came at a time when the West claims it has evidence of sending thousands of North Korean soldiers to Russia. The comprehensive strategic partnership treaty between Russia and North Korea was signed on June 19 during a rare visit by President Vladimir Putin to Pyongyang, which took place as part of the rapprochement between the two countries. A total of 397 Duma deputies voted in favor of ratifying the treaty. It will then have to be sent to the upper house of parliament, the Federation Council, for a vote, before being signed by President Putin.
