He was in court today (8/8) for the first time Ryan Giggs, as her veteran ace Manchester United he is accused of assaulting his ex-partner, whom he threw naked outside the hotel.
The trial was originally scheduled to start in January but was postponed, with the case starting today in a Manchester courtroom.
Kate Greville had complained to him that Giggs flirted with other women during their stay at Stafford London.
Giggs is also accused of using violence against his ex-partner’s sister, Emma Greville.
The prosecutor argued in his address to the jury that the Manchester United legend was manipulative, saying that his entire life outside football was filled with scenes of abuse.
“The systematic and at times violent abuse of a woman is at the heart of this case. He completely lost his self-control and deliberately hit Kate, causing her lips to swell which bruised and bled,” the prosecutor said, among other things, while Giggs’ lawyer noted that all the allegations are false and denied everything.
