Ryanair had the biggest traffic in June, carrying 15.9 million passengers, up 5.3% on the previous year and surpassing the previous high of May.
The load factor, which measures how well an airline fills available seats, reached 95% for the first time since the start of the pandemic.
The Irish airline, Europe’s biggest by passenger numbers, said it operated more than 88,500 flights in June as its capacity ratio rose from 92% a year ago, when it carried 15.4 million passengers.
The low-cost carrier expects to carry 15% more passengers this summer compared to the same period in 2019, and will carry 165 million passengers annually by March 2023.
Ryanair said last week that less than 2% of its flights were affected by the initial wave of strikes by cabin crew unions in Belgium, Spain, Portugal, France and Italy.
