Salumi Negroni and the Accademia della Stella: 5 creative salami-themed projects

TheAcademy of the Star: a competition to reward the more creative minds of NABA, IED and Politecnico di Milano. Italian creativity and talent condensed in over 130 artworks that have reinterpreted salami in a contemporary key Negronetto for his respectable 90 years.

The most “creative” salami of the Negroni house is in fact the one born as a “take-away salami”, a historical ploy to make the French taste Italian salami. The intuition is that of Paolo Negroni, who on the occasion of the Nice Fair of 1931, in order to circumvent the ban on Italian producers from slicing cured meats at fairs, he has them produce a smaller one, but with the same qualities, to be distributed as a tribute to visitors. It was a success.

The Academy of the Star

So in honor of the creativity of Paolo Negroni and Negronetto, a prize could only be born, and here is theAcademy of the Star. To decree the most creative young talents, a jury of excellence composed of Matteo Ragni, winner of two Compasso d’Oro Awards, Anna Godeassi, eclectic artist known for her dreamlike and metaphorical illustrations for publishing, advertising, animation and visual communication projects, and Francesco Poroli, art director and illustrator among the best known and appreciated internationally.

28 finalists and only 5 awarded for the most exciting and engaging results, a hymn to the minds and the all-Italian creativity of the students and of the historic brand of cured meats.

«The Accademia della Stella was born to celebrate Negronetto’s 90 years, born from a simple but brilliant business idea. With these foundations, this surprising journey began through creativity, a new way of communicating towards the future, in a fun and sometimes light-hearted way “- commented Claudia Ferrari, Negroni Salumi Marketing Manager. “It was difficult to choose between so many creative proposals, and it was stimulating to see new talents at work, both because the comparison with the past – in this case the history of a brand like Negroni – is an exercise that we should never stop doing. “.
