Users of last year’s flagship Samsung Galaxy S20 began to complain about an unpleasant problem – the screen flickers green or white.
The main complaint is users of the more expensive Galaxy S20 + and Galaxy S20 Ultra. An increasing number of complaints in the network drew attention to the thematic resource PhoneArena. Complaints began to appear around May, when one of the first users reported the problem to the official Samsung community:
At first I noticed flickering lines on my device, especially when playing games. I contacted Samsung support and received instructions to soft reset my phone. After that, the screen turned green and white and the smartphone began to overheat after prolonged use without locking the screen. “
This case was far from an isolated one. For example, 12 days ago on Reddit started a thread with the title “A significant number of users are faced with the problem of flickering green / white screen, most of them in a year (end of warranty).”
Unsurprisingly, many users are pretty frustrated at this point, and no one seems to know what is causing the problem – software or hardware issues. Some have speculated that this issue is related to the most recent April-June security updates.
