At the very end of last year, it became known that none of Samsung’s new premium TVs are capable of delivering a picture in 4K resolution with a frame rate of 120 Hz with HDR active when connected to the PlayStation 5.
The Korean giant is reportedly working with Sony to address the issue. Recall that there was no similar problem when connecting to the Xbox Series X.
The problem itself is due to the specifics of the HDR signal from the PS5, therefore, as the moderator of the Samsung forum said, it is Sony that will release the corresponding software update for its new console, which will solve the problem. This should happen in March. No updates are needed for the TVs themselves.
