Sanremo 2021: the story of the third evening, between covers and audio problems

In the storm-swollen sea, the one that sucks us deep and prevents us from oxygenating our lungs and seeing the light, there is only one thing that can cling to life and reconnect with the world, and that is the song. Giuliano Sangiorgi says this at the beginning of the third evening of the Sanremo Festival and, in light of the (many) moments of the show and the (few) songs heard on Tuesday and Wednesday, we could not agree more. Then Sanremo starts from here, stops the present for a moment and chooses to take refuge in the past and in tradition. Not in the lazy and listless copulation, but in the modernized one which is either a hole in the water or courage and innovation, it always depends on chance. The gear engages immediately: paid by Lucio Dalla on the anniversary of his birth through a very intimate version of March 4, 1943 of Negramaro, you immediately get to the heart with the Big that cover yesterday’s successes, with Fiorello who does not give up a joke about the resignation of Zingaretti and with Vittoria Ceretti who descends the stairs of the Ariston and, with her voice trembling with emotion, escorts Amadeus in the announcement of the artists who take turns gradually on the stage.

There is no shortage of unexpected events, such as the microphones that stop Fasma’s and Nesli’s performances and force the artistic director to launch the advertisement – the microphone players at the Italian Song Festival are evidently not so necessary -, but there is nothing able to stop Amadeus who now, after having faced the “where is Bugo?” last year, he would also be able to coordinate an intelligence operation to find out who stole Orietta Berti’s basket of chillies.
