The Traffic Engineering Company (CET) of the city of São Paulo will adopt a special operation to guarantee the safety of drivers and pedestrians, in addition to providing fluidity to traffic, during the Proclamation of the Republic holiday.
The “Operação Estrada”, which will start this Friday (12) and will run until Tuesday (16), will monitor the departure and return to the capital at scheduled times with the greatest flow of vehicles in the region of the main roads.
This Friday, CET’s recommendation is that drivers avoid traveling on highways from 2 pm to 10 pm, scheduling their trip for after 10 pm. On the way back to São Paulo, the flow should be greater in the morning and afternoon periods on Monday (15) and on Tuesday morning (16).
The Company also advises that drivers who use the highways around the capital, especially for cargo transport, to avoid accessing the city’s road system during these intervals.
The forecast of the concessionaires that manage the roads in the state is that two million vehicles will use the road network to access cities on the coast and inland.
