Sarah Ferguson’s former lover is back in the limelight: here’s his version of the controversial photos with the Duchess

That was thirty years ago, but the new season of The Crown he just reminded the millions of viewers who follow the series. Only now John Bryanthe financial advisor with whom Sarah Ferguson was photographed in topless when she was still married to Prince Andrew, she decided to break her silence and speak for the first time about the Yorkists, whom she reveals she continued to associate with.

“I don’t want to be remembered forever as the Texan financier who sucked toes from Fergie. For starters, I’m from New York,” he said yesterday in an interview with Mail on Sunday in which he also revealed that he was suffering from a serious tumor.

The former lover of the Duchess of York, who she says they dated for four years, claims photos of him putting Sarah’s feet in his mouth weren’t what they seemed.

The images were taken during the couple’s holiday in the south of France in the summer of 1992 and their publication in the British press led to the separation of the Duke and Duchess of York, remembered in the episode of The Crown dedicated toannus horribilis of Elizabeth II.

According to Bryan, the scene he did not have content sexual but it was a game with princesses Eugenie and Beatrice. “We were playing Cinderella that day and I said, ‘Let’s go kiss mommy’s feet.’ It was part of the game. I did it first and then one of the girls, I think Beatrice», explains Bryan, who insists that what was sold as a scene hot with Ferguson actually consisted of an innocent and familiar moment. “Yes, Sarah was toplessbut for heaven’s sake, we were in the south of France».

The most surprising aspect of the interview was the revelation that Bryan met Prince Andrew’s ex-husband, her ex-lover, in 2019 to advise him on the Epstein case. It was Sarah Ferguson who asked him, with whom he explains that he has remained friends over the years.

Bryan says he visited Prince Andrew at his Windsor residence the day after the airing of the controversial television interview in which he denied having been in a relationship with Virginia Giuffre, the woman who accused him of abusing her when she was a minor. It was a meeting arranged by Ferguson in the most discreet way possible, with Bryan being brought into the house through “a secret entrance”.

“When I saw Andrew again, he shook my hand and hugged me. We’ve always gotten along. When I dated Sarah, he knew how good I was with girls »said the financier.

Also present at the meeting were Eugenie and Beatrice of York, as well as their husbands, Edoardo Mapelli and Jack Brooksbank. According to Bryan, Princess Beatrice was “very upset” and she chastised her father for the great damage she did to her family. “Having never had children, I considered myself a sort of stepfather to the girls. I still adore them »revealed her ex-lover.

John Bryan’s advice to Prince Andrew was intended to help him prepare for a meeting with then-Prince Charles about his future as a member of the royal family. According to Sarah Ferguson’s former lover, the Yorks praised the plan he proposed, but ultimately did not follow through with it. Bryan tells himself convinced of Prince Andrew’s innocence and defends the theory that Epstein, by involving him in his scandals, intended to blackmail Queen Elizabeth II. “It was all a conspiracy to extort money from him,” he says.
