Today, December 6, within the framework of the premiere of the film “Engineering Joy: How smart devices are created with virtual assistants from Sberbank”, representatives of SberDevices officially presented a new smart speaker called SberBox Time. Representatives of Sberbank said that this is a unique media device of its kind, which appropriately combines the functions of three separate gadgets at once – a smart speaker, a TV set-top box and a standard clock with additional musical capabilities. In addition, which was very expected, the novelty is equipped with voice assistants from the Salyut family for convenient control.
The name of the SberBox Time gadget goes well with its design – the front panel of the smart speaker is made in the style of a conventional analog clock, but with an LED indicator at the top. This indicator can change color depending on which voice assistant is selected by the user (there are green, blue and orange colors). The device is also equipped with two speakers and five microphones at once, which are necessary for effective work with the voice assistant, but if desired, the user can turn off the microphones – for this there is a special button on the body.
Using voice commands, the user can turn on music on SberBox Time, learn about traffic jams or weather conditions for the current moment or for the future. Representatives of Sber added that the new smart speaker supports control through a smart home from the company itself or from its partners, so that the gadget can be linked to the whole ecosystem. And if you connect the device to a TV, you get a full-fledged set-top box with many functions – you can access streaming services, listen to music via SberSvuk, watch over 240 TV channels or use the SberPlay cloud gaming service.
The simplest feature of SberBox Time is the alarm function – the user can choose a melody to notify that it is time to get up, and also set the brightness of the bedside lamp or turn on the coffee maker (if all the listed gadgets are smart).
The cost of SberBox Time is 7,990 rubles – the gadget is already available for ordering on the official website, but only in black and white. More colors are promised to be added in the foreseeable future.
