THE Apple Intelligence Apple’s artificial intelligence system, aims to simplify and speed up daily tasks, as well as understand and create language and images. This Monday (9), the company gave more details on how the tool will work, after having been announced in June this year.
It will launch next month in English in the United States via iOS 18, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia updates, and will expand to countries including Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, and the United Kingdom in December, with support for additional languages next year.
In Brazil, there is still no forecast for when Apple Intelligence will arrive on mobile devices. During the conference, the technology giant also announced the iPhone 16, a line built from scratch to receive the technology.
Here are some features that Apple Intelligence offers
With the new writing tools, Apple users will be able to rewrite, revise and summarize text almost anywhere they write, with the help of artificial intelligence.
On the photo side, a new feature called Memories will allow users to create movies of what they want to watch by simply typing a description. Additionally, natural language can be used to search for specific photos, and a new Clean Up tool can identify and remove distracting objects in the background of a photo.
Another new feature is in the Notes and Phone apps, where users can record, transcribe and summarize audio. When a recording is started during a call in the Phone app, participants are automatically notified, and when the call ends, Apple Intelligence also generates a summary to remind them of key points.
With a new design, Apple’s virtual assistant Siri will become even more flexible and integrated into the system experience, according to the company. With richer language understanding capabilities, Siri can maintain context from one request to the next, in addition to answering possible questions about device settings.
Additionally, another new feature is that through AI, Apple users will be able to create new original emojis, simply by typing a description or selecting a photo of a friend or family member.
To execute more complex requests that require more processing power, Private Cloud Compute extends the privacy and security of Apple devices to the cloud to unlock even more intelligence. As per the technology brand, user data is never stored or shared with Apple; it is used only to fulfill the user’s request.
