Apple TV+ announced on Wednesday (18) that the third season of the comedy series Ted Lasso will be available at the end of the first half of 2023.
Winner of an Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series in its second season, the series joined seven others as back-to-back Emmy Award winners for Outstanding Comedy. The others were Modern Family, 30 Rock, Frasier, The Golden Girls, Cheers, All in the Family and The Phil Silvers Show.
The second season won four Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series (Jason Sudeikis), Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series (Brett Goldstein) and Outstanding Directing in a Comedy Series (MJ Delaney).
Starring Jason Sudeikis, the series tells the story of Ted Lasso, a struggling American football coach, when he finds himself hired to coach a football team in England, even though he doesn’t have enough experience with this sport.
Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt, Nick Mohammed and Hannah Waddingham also star in the series.
