Selena Gomez releases “Emilia Perez” soundtrack; listen

Star of the new film “Emilia Perez” the singer Selena Gomez 32, released the first song from the feature film’s soundtrack this Friday (1st). Titled “My Camino” the song was already accompanied by a music video, where the artist appears singing it in a karaoke. Other tracks that will be in the film have also been released.

Although her songs are sung predominantly in English, this is not the first time that Selena Gomez has used Spanish. In 2021, the artist released the album “Revelation” which has seven songs sung in Spanish. The singer has Latin origins, as her paternal grandparents are Mexican.

“Emilia Perez” tells the story of Rita, a lawyer working for a large company, but who is more likely to exonerate criminals than serve justice. She is tasked with helping a fugitive Mexican cartel leader undergo sexual reassignment surgery to escape authorities.

The plot is set in Mexico in the format of a musical.

In addition to Selena Gomez, the cast of “Emilia Perez” is made up of Zoë Saldaña, (“Guardians of the Galaxy” and “Avatar”), Karla Sofía Gascón and Édgar Ramírez (“The Thrill Hunt: Beyond the Limit” and “Carlos”).

The film arrives in Brazilian cinemas in February 6, 2025.
