Shakira asks Måneskin for a photo: “Shall we make music together?”

Whatever they say, it is clear that the Måneskin have now entered that circle of celebrity that leads international stars to humbly approach them to ask for a photo or propose a collaboration. And so, after the praise spread via social media by Miley Cyrus after the Eurovision exploitthe words of esteem addressed by Mick Jagger of the Rolling Stones and, not least, the irresistible sympathy of Jimmy Fallon who seems to no longer be able to do without them, it is the turn of another pop star known all over the world: Shakira.

The occasion is the Cannes Film Festival 2022, more precisely the party organized by Warner Bros. for the presentation of Elvis, the new film by Buz Luhrmann dedicated to the King of Rock – played by the young Austin Butler – on which Måneskin worked on the soundtrack. Shakira recognizes them, approaches Damiano and Thomas and has a photo taken in their company accompanied by an unequivocal caption: “Delighted to have met you at the after-party of Elvis: let’s make music together », Shakira writes on her very popular social media profiles, hoping that Måneskin will accept her proposal.

Yet another certificate of esteem for a band that, in less than a year, has made great strides, arriving there where many bands and many singers had never succeeded. It is perhaps the first time that a group of Italian artists has managed to bewitch the world – in particular America – with such a great and reverberating echo and we hope that, after the consecration of Coachella and the presence at the Grammys, for them it is just the beginning.
