She went out with her baby in the stroller and received a bullet in the head

A shocking incident occurred on her way New YorkA 20-year-old woman who was pushing her baby stroller was shot in the head and killed yesterday, Wednesday, the police of this US city announced.

The victim was taken to hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. Her child is safe and soundadded the police.

During a press conference near the site of the tragedy, on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, the mayor of the city Eric Adams asked for the help of the citizens to locate the perpetrator.

“We will find the man responsible for this horrible crime. “We will find him and he will be accountable to justice,” he stressed.

The woman was shot in the head by a gunman dressed in black, who approached her from behind. No suspects have been arrested so far.

This is the latest in a series of attacks, many of which were accidental, on people on the streets and in the New York subway.

In the meantime, the deputies of the state of New York will hold an extraordinary meeting in order to relax the legislation on the possession of weapons, following the relevant decision of the Supreme Court, as broadcast by the French Agency and relayed by the Athens News Agency.

Last week, the Supreme Court, by a vote of 6 to 3, ruled unconstitutional a New York State law restricting the right of citizens to carry concealed weapons in public. It therefore gave New Yorkers the right to leave their homes armed.

Shortly afterwards, Gov. Kathy Hawkul, a Democrat, called for an emergency meeting of parliament to review state law to comply with the Supreme Court ruling, although she warned that it would lead to more gun violence.

Today, New York MPs will try to maintain as many restrictions on gun ownership as possible, while respecting the decision. At the same time, they should define what “sensitive areas” are, in which citizens will not be allowed to carry weapons.

The Supreme Court has indicated that it will accept the designation of “sensitive areas” as courts, schools and government buildings, but will not accept the designation to be widely used. In his decision, he made it clear that lawmakers could not describe the entire island of Manhattan as a “sensitive area.”
