This is the well-known palace Palazzo Grazioli, which is located next to Piazza Venezia, near the town hall. The “Cavalier” lived on the first floor of this building for almost twenty years, until the end of 2020. According to the press, that’s why the “apartment” of more than thousand square meters, the rent almost touched them 40,000 euros per month.
As the newspaper Corriere della Sera writes, it creates a sensation that those whom Cavaliere considered his sworn enemies, the foreign correspondents, will be housed from the beginning of the new year in his luxurious former residence, where the tycoon – prime minister met politicians, friends, organized celebrations, parties and planned his strategic moves.
Members of the Association of Foreign Correspondents of Italy are almost 300 journalists and, according to what the relevant law provides, its housing costs are covered by the Italian public.
“This palace symbolizes an entire era, in its salons the privatization of power was completed,” writes the newspaper La Repubblica. The Italian public television Rai was also mentioned in the news, with testimonies from associates of the Italian former prime minister, who referred to important meetings of “Mr. TV” in the Grazioli Palace with protagonists of contemporary Italian and international reality.
